Day 1: Samarkand – Gilon Village

Morning:

• Pick-up from your hotel in Samarkand.

• Transfer through Takhta-Karacha Pass, known for its scenic mountain views.

Village Introduction:
Gilon Village is located 80 km from Shakhrisabz, near the border of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, at an altitude of 2,000 meters. Surrounded by mountains, it is home to approximately 5,000 residents who preserve traditional customs and a unique mountain lifestyle.

Activities:

• Scenic drive along winding mountain roads with numerous hairpin turns

• Lunch at a local resident's home

• Village walk and cultural immersion

• Visit to a local blacksmith’s workshop

• Conversation with a local artist

Evening:

• Dinner in the village

• Overnight stay in Gilon Village in a local guesthouse

Day 2: Gilon Village – Hazrati-Sultan Peak – Kul Village

Morning:

• Early breakfast

• Drive to the base of Hazrati-Sultan Peak

Hazrati-Sultan Peak:

• Highest mountain in Uzbekistan, 4,643 meters above sea level

• Part of the Gissar Range, located on the Uzbekistan–Tajikistan border

• Named after the medieval theologian and poet Sheikh Khodja Ahmed Yasawi, also known as “Hazrati-Sultan” (Holy Sultan)

• Features the famous Hazrati-Sultan Mausoleum, a revered site for both Uzbeks and Tajiks

Views & Landscape:

• West: panoramic views of Samarkand

• North: deep glacier valleys

• South: streams flowing from ridges and passes toward southern Uzbekistan and Tajikistan

Activities:

• Trekking and ascent to Hazrati-Sultan Peak

• Lunch en route

• Descent and transfer to Kul Village by car

Evening:

• Dinner in Kul Village

• Overnight stay in a local guesthouse

Day 3: Kul Village – Samarkand

Morning:

• Breakfast in Kul Village

• Scenic drive back to Samarkand
